INTRODUCING THE AMERICA FIRST ENERGY PROJECT IN LOUISIANA

Louisiana is a leading energy producer, yet it consumes more energy than it generates. The America First Energy Project in Louisiana is committed to ensuring energy development is done responsibly within an all-of-the-above energy strategy. The path to American energy dominance runs through Louisiana, and our team wants to help make that happen.

JEff Arnold,
Louisiana ExeCUTIVE Director

“I am proud to lead the efforts of Energy Right in Louisiana to help deliver high quality clean energy investments to parishes across the state. Louisiana knows energy, but we must secure our place as a clean energy leader to remain competitive and affordable for families and businesses alike. My time in the Louisiana House of Representatives and working with the Louisiana electric co-ops sets me up well to help deliver our  America First mission to secure our energy dominance.”

Louisiana Advisory Board

We have assembled a talented group of energy leaders to help advise the work of the America First Energy Project in Louisiana.

Their combined expertise helps shape our mission and ensures that local perspectives are reflected in our energy strategy. The board advises on key issues such as property rights, energy market trends, and the impact of renewable energy projects on local economies. Their guidance ensures that our policies are both practical and forward-thinking, aligning with Louisiana’s economic and energy goals.

A Resource TO PArishes

Our team aims to elevate the local conversations surrounding energy development. We work with local policymakers and communities to implement balanced guidelines for energy production. It is important that best practices are implemented in policy and specific projects.

Questions arise as new energy projects are proposed, and Louisiana is home to several organizations and universities with energy resources and recommendations on the ready. We share and amplify these resources with the communities who stand to benefit from their implementation.

LEgislative Session

Our team is actively engaged in tracking state legislation that could impact Louisiana’s energy landscape. With the rise of clean energy projects, it’s crucial that the state’s framework allows parishes to have the flexibility to approve projects that align with their local character and community needs. We advocate for clear, consistent rules that protect landowners’ rights while ensuring responsible siting and development of renewable energy projects. By working with policymakers and community leaders, we aim to create a balanced approach that benefits both the state and its residents.
